The Second Floor Before

It's hard to capture the glory of our second floor on paper, but here are some hints at the awesomeness that happens when you convert an 1894 Victorian into two flats and rent it out to aging hippies for somewhere between 40 and 90 years. 

The staircase: like most of the rest of the second floor, grand but in disrepair.









When you come to the top of the staircase, you have three options: to the right is the green master bedroom and adjoining ex-kitchen. To the left is a hallway with two small bedrooms and (up until recently) the house's only full bathroom. And straight ahead is a mess of sculpted mustard plaster that will eventually become a small library.
